Born in Montreal, Canada, Cohen trained at both L'École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec and Canada's National Ballet School before joining the Ballett Zürich Junior Company, moving into the main company in 2018 and quickly establishing himself across a wide-ranging repertoire.
An established and polished dancer, Cohen is known for his commanding stage presence and intense physicality — bringing characters vividly to life in principal and soloist roles across the classical, neo-classical, and contemporary repertoire. His work encompasses choreography by Christian Spuck, William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Edward Clug, Hans van Manen, Jiří Kylián, Johan Inger, and Yuri Possokhov, among others.
He received the Tanzpreis der Freunde des Balletts Zürich in 2018 and has been invited to perform at international ballet galas around the world, including at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He joined Staatsballett Berlin in 2023.
