Trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, Riho claimed gold at the Youth America Grand Prix before joining the Dutch National Ballet Junior Company at sixteen, swiftly rising to Principal Dancer in 2021.
Her repertoire spans the great classical and iconic dramatic roles — The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Raymonda, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, and The Nutcracker — alongside the work of contemporary masters like Forsythe, Naharin, Kylián and van Manen. Most recently, Riho premiered the role of Alida (Gamzatti) in Dutch National Ballet's production of La Bayadère, “bringing a compelling quality to her portrayal, owning the stage with fierce, powerful jumps.”
Requested worldwide as a celebrated guest, she is described as “blessed with a convincing charm, sensitive musicality, and super strong technique — the warmth of her smile fills the theatre.” She received Dance Europe Honours in 2021 and 2023, and was nominated as Dance Europe's Dancer of the Year in 2024.
